A new addition to the SNOW FERN COLLECTION.
This hat was designed as a companion piece for my previously released Snow Fern Fingerless Mitts.
Pattern Notes
Worked in the round with cables that slowly taper outwards and inwards, creating fern-like shapes. A longtail tubular cast-on is utilized, allowing this hat to fit a wider range of head sizes. Written in 2 adult sizes. S/M & L/XL. See the finished measurements below. All repeats appear in bold text throughout the pattern. The pattern is charted and also includes separate written instructions.
Yarn
Approx. 175, (200) yards/160, (180) m of DK weight yarn, (Pictured in Knit Picks Andean Treasure DK in “Horchata Heather”)
Note: Yardage needed does NOT include a gauge swatch.
Needles
Brim: US 2/2.75 mm 16”/41 cm Circular Needle or DPN’s, or go 1 size down from the needle size you make gauge with
Hat: US 3/3.25 mm 16”/41 cm Circular Needle & DPN’s for decreasing
