Design
Into the Trees works up fast in worsted weight yarn. Written in one size fits most, the German twisted cast-on is utilized for an optimal amount of stretch without losing its shape. This hat is the perfect accessory for this season’s gift-giving! There are two different versions of the hat, a beanie length, and a slouchy length. Or you can add or remove repeats for something in-between.
Skills Required
Simple decreases and yarn-overs are used for this hat, making this a great pattern for introducing yourself to lace. The pattern includes separate instructions for a chart-reader and a row-for-row knitter. The pattern also includes video links for all stitches and techniques used.
- Working in the round on a 16”/40cm circular needle.
- Switching to double-pointed needles when decreasing the hat.
- Twisted ribbing & twisted decrease.
- Blocking your beanie. This is critical in order for the lace stitches to open up and be showcased properly.
