The Fisherman’s Wife Beret

With the temperatures dropping outside to Arctic levels, I find myself wanting to grab every piece of Woolen artillery to wrap myself up in when I leave the house. Hat, neck warmer, gloves, scarf, blanket, bedspread, polar bear. Er… it may be hard to locate that last one.

I recently had a customer order a  Fisherman’s Wife neck warmer from the shop and she requested a warm, roomy beret to match. I just LOVE my customers! They help me to think outside my own creative box. So down I sat with my wool and needles, coffee and notepad. And a matching Beret was born.

I love the Caviar color that she chose. It goes with just about everything in your wardrobe. The original Fisherman White color I designed the neck warmer in is of course classic and beautiful but the Caviar is just so rich and striking.

Whatever color you choose, if you’re looking for a great quick knit this season for your gift-giving, The Fisherman’s Wife Neck Warmer and Beret will suit your needs perfectly.

Knit on big needles with Super Bulky yarn, you can easily make a set on a lazy Saturday. For your sister, mom, mother-in-law or a friend. What girl wouldn’t want this pretty set?

The Fisherman’s Wife Neckwarmer pattern is for sale here.

The matching Beret pattern is however FREE. I’ve uploaded a Pdf for your convenience and knitting pleasure. Enjoy! 🙂
