So all of you who know me well are fully aware of my uninhibited obsession with Pinterest. It’s my daily eye-candy, my electronic inspiration board of food, fashion and all things awesome.

Every Fall, I begin dreaming of Knitwear designs. Many times it hits me as early as Summer. But in the very beginning, all I had to document my wooly thoughts were my trusty notebooks filled with jotted down scrambled thoughts and little hand drawn sketches.

With the glorious invention of Pinterest, I found my new playground! A place to document, organize and revisit all of my Inspiration. Much like the crazy collages of torn pages from Vogue and Sixteen that I pinned up on my bedroom wall as a teenager….but better!

Every season I find myself obsessing (no surprise there!) over some piece of knitwear. Be it Chunky Cabled sweaters, fine gauge gloves, bootwarmers or scarves.

This season, it’s all about Infinity Cowls. I cannot get enough. Thick, fluffy, warm luscious poufs of wool wrapped around your face. I just cannot deal.

I see them ALL OVER Pinterest as well as in just about every window display as I walk down the street. They simply refuse to exit my brain. But then….why would I want them to. This is the very definition of what I do and what I LOVE. Dream, design, knit and share!

This cowl is simplistic, pretty and best of all… FREE! I did some research and settled for a stitch that is easy to memorize, fun to knit and creates a lofty, soft knitted fabric. It’s also stretchy, which is prefect for a cowl you want to double around your neck.

I hope you enjoy the free pattern and that you too will Pin it onto your own Pinterest boards and share with your Knitter friends. I love seeing my designs in your creative minds. A Knitwear Designers dream come true!
